The Tan Sri Runme Shaw Senior Professorship in Computer Science was established in 1981 at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science (ISCS). In 1998, DISCS became the NUS School of Computing.
The income generated from this professorship fund enables the Department of Computer Science in the School of Computing to attract world-class scholars and eminent professors to share their expertise and experience, in order to enhance the research and teaching efforts of the department.
