The C J Koh Professorship in Law was established in October 1996 with a gift of S$2 million from the late philanthropist and lawyer, Mr Koh Choon Joo, fondly known as Mr C J Koh.

The income generated from this professorship fund is used to engage eminent professors to co-operate in research and education with other faculty members and share their expertise and experience.
