GIFT ENABLING – DEPUTY DIRECTOR
Role: Lead DVO’s efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward principal, major and annual giving donors and prospective donors. Work with senior management to increase gift receipts, diversify donor base and engage volunteers. Lead, manage and support a team comprising Principal Gifts, Major Gifts and Annual Giving officers.
Requirements:
- University degree, with advanced degrees/qualifications an asset
- 7+ years of relevant experience in fundraising and in building donor and prospective donor relationships, preferably in principal gift fundraising for higher education
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Ability to work and collaborate with multi-level internal colleagues and external volunteers
- Must be independent, self-starter and need little supervision
PRINCIPAL GIFTS/MAJOR GIFTS – DIRECTOR/ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/SENIOR MANAGER/MANAGER
Role: Responsible for identifying, cultivating and soliciting principal and/or major gifts to the University. Manage relationships with up to 100 prospective donors. Besides enabling gifts on their own, candidates are expected to work collaboratively with and in support of key volunteers and University staff to secure support towards University priorities. Those working in Major Gifts are also expected to work efficiently with faculties and schools to secure immediate gift cases.
Requirements:
- University degree, with advanced degrees/qualifications an asset
- 4+ years experience in fundraising and in building donor and prospective donor relationships, preferably in major gift fundraising for higher education
- Ability to successfully operate within a large university setting
- Demonstrated skills in writing, organisation and attention to detail
- Must be independent, self-starter and need little supervision
COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST – ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/SENIOR MANAGER
Role:
- Develop and manage the strategic direction of Communications in DVO to encourage and promote giving to NUS
- Principal writer, editor and quality controller for all materials, for example, campaign-related promotional materials, funding proposals, website, publications, annual stewardship reports, as well as correspondence for senior University leadership and senior volunteers
- Source, develop and write stories to highlight the benefits of philanthropic giving to NUS and its impact on the greater community
- Effectively engage internal/external media to communicate the University’s social impact and the role of private support in achieving the University’s mission
Requirements:
- University degree and 5+ years experience in journalism, business writing, communications or media relations
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Ability to communicate and work with senior University leadership, deans, lead volunteers and donors
- Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills with ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Masters degree an asset; Mandarin and experience in corporate communications preferable
- More senior applicants may be considered at an Associate Director level
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT – SENIOR MANAGER/MANAGER
Role:
- Set up a Knowledge Management System and ensure proper training and usage (including Raiser’s Edge system and reports working in conjunction with Information Management staff)
- Champion major prospect research (identification, profiling, tracking) and perform a variety of duties involved in collecting, interpreting, documenting and summarising descriptive, analytical and evaluative data on prospective donors
- Identify and conduct (or outsource/manage) surveys and data-mining exercises to assist in development and campaign planning
Requirements:
- Advanced degrees and/or relevant professional qualification in Research, Business Systems/Knowledge Management, Information Management, Library Science or related field
- 5+ years experience with demonstrated knowledge of managing information, surveying, statistical modeling, data-mining and data analysis
- Familiarity with developing and delivering knowledge sharing programmes
- Experience in establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organisation
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT – MANAGER
Role: Responsible for identification and development of training programmes, conducting training, liaising with training partners and reviewing training outcomes.
Requirements: Recognised university qualification with 3-5 years of experience
WEB/GRAPHIC DESIGNER – EXECUTIVE
Role:
- Assist in the visual interpretation and creation of DVO messaging across a wide variety of media: print, web, and video
- Design and implement creative designs and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite
- Create dynamic and scalable interactive Flash applications
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in web or graphic design or visual communications
- Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash)
- Knowledge of HTML, XHTML, DHTML and CSS as well as Javascript, PHP and ASP
- Video editing and photography skills would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Be a source of fresh ideas, insight and creativity

DEVELOPMENT – EXECUTIVE

GIFT PROCESSING – ASSOCIATE
Role: You will be part of a team handling processing of donations, cash and cheque collection, reconciliation of data and general administrative functions.
Requirements: Diploma with at least 2 years experience in accounting and proficiency in MS Office applications as well as ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
ANNUAL GIVING – DIRECTOR/ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/SENIOR MANAGER/MANAGER
Role: Responsible for engaging, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding members of the NUS community (alumni, students, staff/faculty) on an annual basis for gifts to the University. Cultivate and instill a giving culture within the community to reinforce the habit and benefits of giving in support of NUS. Develop networks of supporters and volunteers for cooperative fundraising initiatives. Work collaboratively with and in support of key University fundraisers to secure support towards University priorities.
Requirements:
- University degree, with advanced degrees/qualifications an asset; a degree from NUS preferred
- Experience in fundraising, preferably in educational or non-profit fundraising
- Experience in outreach and engagement communication methods including web, social networking applications, direct mail, email, phone and sms
- Experience in customer relationship management and/or affinity programmes
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Ability to successfully operate within a large university setting
- Demonstrated skills in writing, organisation and attention to detail
- Must be independent, self-starter and need little supervision
