Normah Bte Mohamed, an Operations Associate at the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences’ Graduate Studies Division, gives regularly to the University. As her children have received financial support to pursue their education, Normah understands how helpful bursaries and fee subsidies can be. Having been helped, she extends the same kindness to others.
“I understand how difficult it can be for some students who want to study in university. I want to help the needy students in NUS by giving a small amount to the University. I want them to be able to study well and not have to worry about money,” Normah says.
Normah, who strongly believes that NUS offers an excellent education, expresses her hope that students will be able to make the most of NUS’ “very good programmes”.
She says, “I have benefitted much from NUS. I want to help the students while I still have income. When I retire, I won’t be able to help.”
